Community Connection: Startup Open House 2018

It’s been a busy fall for team ThinkHatch and we are loving every minute of it! Last week we had the opportunity to meet some of the city’s best and brightest as part of the Toronto edition of Startup Open House, held in partnership with Canada’s Tech Fest, Elevate. We always look forward to these kinds of events because it’s an opportunity to connect with the community at large and share some great conversations. Since 2013, Startup Open House has been bringing high-growth startups together with the larger community of job seekers, students, young professionals and investors. This year Startup Open House partnered with Elevate to connect over 5,000 community members with innovative companies and startups across Toronto.

ThinkHatch proudly opened our doors at Make Lemonade, the cooperative workplace that we partner with, in collaboration with its monthly mixer event. In a city with over 230 nationalities and a booming startup culture, we knew that we would be in for an exciting night!

We had the pleasure of meeting with a wide variety of people at the event, from Elevate Tech and Hackathon participants to freelancers and students interested in learning more about different companies and the industry at large. It was a fantastic opportunity to share relaxed conversation with visitors over tasty cupcake morsels and wine!

Overall it was an opportunity to have a night of authentic networking and learn what individuals are up to in the city. All-in-all a very successful event! Thank-you to the team at Startup Open House and Elevate for hosting the event.
